Transgender Givenchy Muse to Appear on Oprah

Lea T., the transgender model who served as muse to Givenchy's Ricardo Tisci, has been having an amazing year. She's been decimating boundaries left and right by after leaving the French fashion house to pursue a life of stardom in her own right. Already she's been seen on couture runways, (nude) in French Vogue and most recently as the cover girl for Lurve Magazine. Now, the model is being called upon by the omnipotent Oprah Winfrey for a sit-down for one of the highly coveted final moments of airtime on the final season of her immensely popular daytime talk show. For those of you living under a rock, this is Major. Oprah has influence over a mass market like no one else, and she appeals to a suburban audience that hang on her every word. When Oprah says read a book, you read it. So when a transgender person sits on her plush couch for a chit-chat, this is a momentous occasion. Now, it's no secret that, to us, Oprah is somewhat of a mystical goddess, and her attention is a great honor. She treats her guests with a genuine sense of curiosity and sensitivity, and we're hoping that this ends up being an informative and enlightening program. The episode has not yet been filmed, but once we know an air date, you better believe our DVRs will be set to record (oh, who are we kidding? It's always set to record Oprah).
