First Listen (Kinda): Coldplay's "Charlie Brown"

No one does self-loathing better than Charlie Brown. And no one could translate the earnest, angst-y theme's of Charles Schultz's character into a song better than Coldplay. Combine the two, and you get a pretty sweet new Coldplay track named -- well -- "Charlie Brown."

While the song made a rather quiet debut back in June at Germany's Rock am Ring Festival, it was finally released last night upon the state-side masses on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

It's your standard Coldplay anthem, complete with drawn-out coos and woos. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. "Charlie Brown" is set to release on Coldplay's upcoming album, which has yet to receive a name or an official release date. So you know, whenever you're ready guys...

And for a different take on their last single, "Every Tear Drop Is A Waterfall," check out this killer cover that Robyn recently released.
