Rufskin Model Found Stabbed to Death

Gay.net reports that Brazilian cover model Murilo Rezende, who was the face of Rufskin's spring/summer clothing campaign and held the title of Mr. Piaui 2011, was found stabbed to death early Tuesday morning in a Sao Paulo apartment. He was 21.

A cleaner discovered Rezende's body in the bedroom of an apartment belonging to Bozola Eugenio, a 52-year-old systems analyst, who was also found dead in the room. Police said both men had sustained serious injuries and there is evidence of a struggle. Eugenio's Honda Civic is missing and authorities suspect a third person killed the two men and fled in the car.

Rufskin designer and co-owner Hubert Pouches provided us with the following statement: "Murilo was not only a handsome guy, he was a beautiful person. Through Rick Day's photo shoot for the Rufskin campaign in Brazil, in each picture Murilo brought the essence to our brand; sexiness, masculinity and self-confidence. The light in his eyes reflect how beautiful he was both inside and outside. He will be remembered and missed."

Photographer Rick Day, who worked with Rezende on the Rufskin campaign, wrote on Facebook, "I am still in shock over the violent ending of such a beautiful young life. He was kind and funny... always with a joke. My heart goes out to his family and friends, as well as, his family at 40 Graus agency in Rio."
