Trevor Donovan: From 'Beverly Hills' To Malibu Barbie

Earlier this year it was reported that hunky stud Trevor Donovan, better known as the newly outed 'Teddy" on the CW's 90210, would be leaving the Spelling-haunted zip code this coming season. The beefy blond actor will appear in only about five episodes "scattered throughout the first half of the season," Donovan told E! News, but that's not the last fans will see of him.

Donovan is in talks to play Barbie's boyfriend Ken in an upcoming live-action film about the iconic Mattel toy. Mattel marked Barbie's 50th anniversary two years ago by announcing that the company had teamed up with Dreamgirls producer Laurence Mark to develop the film, and now Donovan -- who does bear a striking resemblance to the All-American boy toy -- seems destined to don Ken's signature board shorts and white T-shirt, or whatever he's wearing these days.

No word yet on who will play Barbie (Kristen Wiiggets our vote), or whether the film will play up the oft-parodied suggestion that Ken likes dudes. For our part, we're wondering if the sex scenes will be anatomically correct.
