Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway?

jerryportwood

According to the New York Post, Hugh Jackman's one-man concert evening, Hugh Jackman in Concert, will begin an eight-week run at the Broadhurst Theatre Oct. 25. Last time we saw Jackman was in the two-handerA Steady Rain, opposite Daniel Craig Daniel Craig. Although the show was a slog, it sold out every performance and made big bucks for investors. The ladies (and guys) were lining up in the aisles during curtain call to see how close they could get to the hunks. Now it will be Jackman going it alone after critically acclaimed stints with the show in Toronto and San Francisco.

According to Playbill, Tony Award-winner Jackman will be "[b]acked by an 18-piece orchestra," and he "performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers, including tunes from his Tony-winning turn in The Boy from Oz."

But don't fret if you don't get your Hugh time, Jude Law is also reported to be on his way back to the Great White Way. Again, according to the Post, "Law will arrive next year, riding his own wave of raves in the Anna Christie revival at London's Donmar Warehouse," which is "the hottest ticket in London this summer." (Read a review from the Guardian here.)

So it's shaping up to be another star-filled theater season, with dreamboats aplenty.
