Spring Preview: Burkman Brothers

More from today's showroom visits. This time for the Burkman Bros -- who, as we mentioned, just launched ecommerce. Good thing, too, because we have a feeling people are going to be going bananas over their very tropical spring collection. Inspired by their Hawaiian jaunt, the brothers wanted to focus less on beach-lounging and more on active island life. This translated into printed and patterned tank tops and polos -- which we were told are all original to the label -- a jocular play on the cliche Hawaiian-print floral shirt (above right), a ton of surfer/swim trunk inspired shorts in lightweight, smooth, shiny silks and lovely khaki (center), and an unstructured, unlined militar-like coat that would be perfect for when the sun goes down and there's just the slightest of nip in the air. We've already made our mental must-buy list.....if only it were already spring.....
