You might guess that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney isn't exactly the biggest fan of gay marriage. After all, he wants to amend the constitution to ban same-sex marriage and even opposes civil unions.
But according to an ABC News interview earlier this month, Romney and his wife are big fans of the sitcom Modern Family, which features one of the most visible gay couples on television. Hypocrisy?
Out 100 honoree Ferguson, who plays one half of the same-sex couple, was more optimistic when New York magazine informed him that Mitt never misses a Wednesday night with Mitchell, Cameron and their adopted child, Lily.
"Well, I hope Mitt Romney is wondering why he likes the show so much. Maybe he sees that Mitchell and Cameron aren't quite so bad, and maybe he needs to re-think some things," he said. "But I love that he watches the show. I think that's very big of him, and I'm hoping that he's being changed a bit, in his heart."
