Gays Invented Brunch

The good people at College Humor have hit a particularly sensitive and alarmingly accurate note in the video below. Brunch, the cause championed the most (second only to marriage equality) by the gay community, may be fabulous... but could it be a little ridiculous as well? Why is a meal traditionally eaten hung over and after sleeping in until 1PM usually comprised of some of the poshest dishes we've seen all week? Why is it incomplete without some sort of pretentious discussion? And why, yes, WHY does it take so long to eat?
