Santorum Glitterbombed In South Carolina

We're just surprised it didn't happen sooner.

Santorum joins the ranks of Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty as the latest Republican candidate to get a face full of glitter. Santorum's discriminatory stance on gay rights (and same-sex marriage in particular) is second only to Rick Perry's, so it should come as no surprise that he was the target of activist ire during the closing moments of his post-primary speech at the Citadel on Saturday.

The students, who were apparently affiliated with Occupy Charleston, were quickly hustled out of the room, and Santorum somehow managed to make an appearance on Fox News later that evening glitter-free. Which, we have to say, is an impressive feat - have you ever tried to remove body glitter after a night clubbing? Usually takes a liter of rubbing alcohol and some Brillo pads.
