A list of the films and filmmakers who may not be nominated for Oscars, but should deserve your respect

Over at The Advocate, they have rounded up a list of films from 2011 that may not necessarily be getting recognized on Oscar night--but are, nonetheless, "admirable, challenging, and enlightening films" that feature "LGBT artists, in front of and behind the camera, as well as memorable, beautifully drawn queer characters."
