Early Morning Rebel is a four-piece band based in Los Angeles, California comprised of Nathan Blumenfeld-James and Dustin Bath. The band, on the strength of a lone EP, has become something of a house band for the fashion set, playing more than a dozen shows during the recent London Fashion Week and getting love from outlets like WWD, Cosmopolitan and Stylite, for which they did this story about their favorite rocker essentials.
And despite the boys' impeccable style and swoon-worthy looks--seriously, check out the photos of Dustin above and below--what really gets us about them is the music. Take a listen to this acoustic version of "Life Boat," the title track off their recent EP (an album is due later this year), and you'll see what we mean. Blumenfeld-James hit the nail on the head in a recent interview when he said, ""I wrote 'Life Boat' about losing someone to their dark side and fighting to rescue them. Usually, I write songs with a harder edge, but I wanted to keep 'Life Boat' sparse and haunting to lend to the gut wrenching qualities of loss."
