Who will be the newest addition to the panel of judges on Fox's The X Factor?

As we all speculate who will be the fourth judge while also speculating whether Britney Spears will be the third judge, one thing is now certain.

It won't be Darren Criss.

Contrary to an "exclusive" report on E! online back in March, the young Glee star has finally squashed rumors that he was offered a spot on the show that he subsequently turned down.

"It was a classic example of people running with something that they didn't bother to check facts with," Criss told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.

The cute-as-a-button young triple threat, who recently appeared in Broadway's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying was definitely flattered by the rumor, though. And that's why he has only come out with the truth months later.

"I didn't want to get in the way. I thought it was so cool," he said.

Well, Darren's out. So who will it be?

Rumors are currently swirling that Demi Lovato will take the fourth seat alongside Britney. But we've learned the hard way (as has E! online) that it is best to wait for the official announcement before getting our hopes up.

Then again, we can't wait to see Britney and Demi together on The X Factor stage!!!
