'True Blood' Star Stephen Moyer Wishes He Had More Gay Fans

As Bill on True Blood, the 42-year-old British actor has had some pretty steamy scenes with vampires and ladies. But he also says he appreciates his gay male following. In an interview with The Advocate, he admits that his gay fanbase is no longer as strong as his costars. "I may come in fourth behind Joe Manganiello, Alex Skarsgard, and Ryan Kwanten, if I'm really honest. I'm a little upset," he says. "Once upon a time I was doing very well in that area, but after Alex and Joe joined the show, I naturally went down in the pecking order."

Moyer's not doing too shabby. He's married to bisexual costar Anna Paquin, and he says male fans have asked him to bite them in West Hollywood on occasion. "If the person looks clean and wholesome, I might oblige."

When asked about criticism that True Blood has become "too gay," he counters with this delicious quote:

"Is there such a thing as too gay? We live in a very different world than we grew up in, so if people can't embrace that aspect of our show, then that's a shame. I certainly don't think it's specifically gay, but our show ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of people. We have an incredibly broad audience, one of the widest demographics in terms of sexuality and age groups, so obviously we're doing something right."

Moyer and Skarsgard have been pitted against each other before (check out this Team Bill vs. Team Eric contest in which Moyer took home the prize). He also says that he and costar Skarsgard would certainly get it on with angry vampire sex if the script called for it. "Alex and I would absolutely embrace that. Last year, when Sookie had her fantasy about the two of them with her, we even suggested it. Of course, Bill and Eric together isn't necessarily Sookie's fantasy."

Come on Sookie, your magical fairy snatch can make anything happen! So maybe you can hold out for THAT scene in the near future!
