Magic Mike: The Sequel?

Channing Tatum hints that he'd love to do a second helping of the film

Channing Tatum is game for just about anything. I mean, have you seen him hump the stage in Magic Mike? Most people forgot the boy could DANCE! Now he's doing weird Twitter Q&As with Glamour in the UK. And when the topic of Magic Mike 2 came up, he tweeted: "Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger."

Of course, if you have seen the film, then you know that Tatum's character, the titular Mike, exits the scene at the end of the movie (as we like to say, it starts out like a gay movie, and it ends as a sappy chick flick, so be warned).

This is not the first time an actor in the movie has mentioned the possibility of a followup. "We're actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel," Joe Manganiello told Hollywood.com. "Because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike [Channing Tatum's character]. Otherwise, what's Mike going to do? He's going to come back for one big heist...so, you would do the prequel -- how they got there."

Also, maybe they could give big ol' Joe some LINES this time? We know he can speak, we've seen him do it as Alcide on True Blood! And throw Matt Bomer a bone! He needs to do more than talk about his wife's tits. Oh, and of course, we don't think Steven Soderbergh would be back to direct, right? Because he keeps toying with the idea of retiring. Remember?

Whatever, happens, Magic Mike is speaking Hollywood's language: meaning, it's made MONEY, so it could be ripe for a sequel (or a prequel). So far, it's the film has grossed $77.8 million, and it was made for something around $7 million. That means that Tatum has been a box office draw in 2012, with 21 Jump Street and The Vow both cracking the $100 mark domestically. So add, Magic Mike to that, and we know we'll be seeing more Tatum very soon. Yum!

Oh and don't forget the whispered about Magic Mike Broadway musical version. This franchise is gonna swivel and pivot and squirm until it gets all your dollar bills.
