New York State Senator Mark Grisanti, a Buffalo-area Republican, was one of the key politicians who switched his vote to support same-sex marriage at the last minute last year.
"I cannot legally come up with an argument against same-sex marriage," Grisanti said as the bill was being debated in Albany. "Who am I to say that someone does not have the same rights that I have with my wife, who I love, or to have the 1,300-plus rights that I share with her."
Now, as Politico reports, there appears to be a group called the Committee to Save the Erie County Republican Party--although they can find no proof that the group actually exists--which is trying to smear him with a bizarre, sexy "mailer"--although, so far, it has only been sent via email-- that includes B&W stock art of men engaged in intimate relations with text reading "political whore" and asking "how far will a politician go to get in your pants?"
Buzzfeed has posted the supposed "mailer," but it's difficult to believe it would actually be printed and land in voters' mailboxes. If so, it's certainly going to make some gay boy as uncomfortable as when the Undergear underwear catalog suddenly shows up unannounced.
Or could it all be a publicity stunt?
