WATCH: 'Gayby' Trailer

Everyone wants to get pregnant, right? Well it might seem that way from the trend on TV and movies. Doesn't it seem like we're living through another era of Look Who's Talking? It's like Baby Boom but soooo 21st Century. (Maybe next we'll get a slew of septuagenarian films, like Cocoon and Batteries Not Included. But who will be our Jessica Tandy??)

Gayby looks like the movie that Friends With Kids could have been (didn't it seem kinda gay?), but with lots more man-on-man humor. And if you're gonna check out The New Normal, and see how it relates to your lived experience, then why not have a really gay Brooklyn rom-com about friends and their conception woes.

Written and directed by Jonathan Lisecki, Gayby stars Matthew Wilkas and Jenn Harris as Matt and Jenn. And, oh, Jenn wants to get pregnant--the old-fashioned way. The trailer for the film includes our favorite line: "That is soooo Brooklyn." And it also has a bunch of other great Brooklyn types, like Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky (both from Girls), as well as Louis Cancelmi, who may be a new hearththrob. Gayby opens October 12.
