Monsters beware: Mama isn't playing nice. The pop icon released Wednesday a painfully short teaser for a new music video set to "Cake"--that rap song from buddy DJ White Shadow which wasn't hers, then was, then...well, who knows? A photo tweeted out on Thursday, showing Gaga covered from paw to paw in the eponymous dessert, added to the speculation (pictured). No word yet on when the full video would drop, but fans are certainly hungry for more.
If a full video exists, it's unclear how it would fit into a very Gaga 2013. With an international tour already underway and the debut of her "interactive "album ARTPOP, the singer has a full plate ahead of her. The video might be a glimpse into the general frenzy that will be ARTPOP's release--or maybe it's just something to keep the artist's online hype alive until the new year gets here.
Guessing (and wishing) aside, the 15-second clip reveals a Gaga getting down and dirty. From sharing a bathtub with two other girls to "getting low" in her undies, the dark footage compliments a song that is possibly the most in-your-face Gaga work yet. Mama Monster certainly takes pride in herself and her posse: In addition to DJ White Shadow on the rhymes, friend Terry Richardson gets credit for the video work. As collaborative as the whole effort may seem, the song is all Gaga, all the way--exactly what fans want.
