While David Bowie and Tilda Swinton will never make a convincing suburban couple, their pairing in the video for the new video for the single from the forthcoming much-anticipated Bowie album, The Next Day, is one of the most genius bits of casting ever. The fact that their fictional life is interrupted by another couple, played by Andrej Pejic (an Out100 honoree) and Saskia De Brauw, only makes it better.
So far the album is receiving positive reviews (read The Guardian's take here), and this video, directed by Floria Sigismondi and shot by Jeff Cronenweth, is our favorite thing we've seen in a long, long time. Watch it below:
