Best find of the day? This teaser for the movie TOM, about the early life and times of the man who would become known to the world as Tom of Finland. From what we can gather, this teaser is meant to whet our appetite since the feature film will be shot in 2014 and (we hope!) released worldwide in 2015. So far, we love the fun, tongue in cheek quality and amazing production values. And that guy in the lead is unconventionally (and totally) sexy.
This is how the film is explained on the YouTube page:
"Until the year 1971, being gay in Finland could land you in jail for years. There was a boy born in 1920. In his childhood, he drew pictures of naked men. While drawing, he wore only leather boots.
As a young man, he fought in the war and had sex with his fellow soldiers, both Finnish and German. During his adulthood, he lived a double life. By day, a talented advertising artist and a pianist, by night a genius creator of erotic drawings.
