Jason Collins began his Sports Illustrated cover story with these lines: "I'm a 34-year-old NBA center. I'm black. And I'm gay."
Queen O interviewed the NBA player, the episode aired on Sunday, and asked about the role of race and why it's more difficult for African-American men to come out about their sexuality. Collins also discusses his gay uncle and his uncle's longtime partner. There's also a clip about Collins coming out to his twin brother, Jarron.

How Jason Collins Came Out to His Twin Brother, Jarron
In many ways, Jason Collins and his twin brother, Jarron, have led parallel lives. They were born eight minutes apart, and they both attended Stanford University. Then, in 2001, they were both drafted into the NBA. Jarron says he never suspected that the two didn't share the same interest in women--until his brother sat him down and revealed that he was gay. Watch as Jarron tells Oprah about his initial reaction and shares the first questions he asked Jason.
