The actor discusses raising children in Timothy Greenfield-Sanders's HBO documentary
As he's done in his previous HBO documentary features, The Black List and The Latino List, photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders interviews a series of prominent and compelling people about their lives and experiences in a simple, direct fashion. For his latest, The Out List, which premieres on HBO June 27, he does the same, with people like a Latina sheriff to Ellen DeGeneres. In this clip from the forthcoming doc, for example, Neil Patrick Harris discusses being a gay father.
"I don't think kids needs a father and mother, necessarily," he explains. "I think they need male and female role models. But I don't think that means we shouldn't have kids if we're two guys." He then makes a funny comment about if his son were to play with Barbie dolls.
