WATCH: Tanner Defends His Gayness In New G.B.F. Clip
In a new clip from the indie high school comedy,G.B.F., Tanner (Michael J. Willet) must defend himself against three battling queen bees, Caprice (Xosha Roquemore), 'Shley (Andrea Bowen) and Fawcett (Sasha Pieterse), who are vying to snatch him up as their new B.F.F.
The modern day teen comedy tells the story of Tanner who becomes the high school's biggest prize after he's outed in front of his classmates. His newfound popularity forces him to choose between the queen bees and his true friends, including fellow gayby Brent (OUT100's Paul Iacono).
But before he can decide, he has figure out just how gay he's going to be:
G.B.F. stars Willett (United States of Tara), Pieterse (Pretty Little Liars), Roquemore (The Mindy Project), Molly Tarlov (Awkward), Bowen (Desperate Housewives), Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Rebecca Gayheart (Urban Legend), Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque (RV), Horatio Sanz (Wreck It Ralph), and Iacono (Hard Life of RJ Berger).
The film, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, is finally getting released. First, it will air exclusively on DIRECTV starting Friday, Nov. 22 before hitting theaters and video on demand in January.
