Frank Bruni, the New York Times columnist and Out100 honoree, thought he'd found his iPhone in the nick of time.
As Bruni exited a cab in New York City recently, he saw a phone all alone on the cushion: "I assumed it was mine. I thought, Jesus, Frank, I can't believe you left another phone in a cab," he told NYMag. "But then I realized I was talking on my phone, so it couldn't have been mine."
After a series of texts came in the following day, Bruni and his assistant, Isabelle Moschen, put the pieces together...this was Courtney Love's phone. A Twitter communication ensued. Yay, technology!
The phone has since been returned and now Love and Courtney are BFFS, aka they now follow each other on Twitter and DM.
New York can be the smallest city sometimes. Game plan: Let's ride cabs all weekend and find celebs' phones! (Jokes, us plebeians take the subway.)
