First Look: HBO's The Normal Heart

In a new year-end trailer celebrating 2013, HBO recapped a stellar year of programming and also previewed what looks to be another strong year for the channel. In addition to previewing the scripted series, Looking, and the documentary, The Case Against 8, HBO gave fans a first look at The Normal Heart.

Ryan Murphy directs the film adaptation of Larry Kramer's Tony award-winning play about the rise of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New York City. The film stars Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons and Julia Roberts and will debut sometime next spring.
