First Look: Matt Doyle in Jasper in Deadland

While the poster may look like a new CW series, it's actually clever marketing for a new Off-Broadway musical featuring hunky gay actor Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, War Horse). Jasper in Deadland off-Broadway. With music and lyrics by Ryan Scott Oliver and a book by Oliver and Hunter Foster, the musical's described as "a mythological thrill-ride through a hybrid underworld with 17-year-old Jasper, as he faces down demons, gods, and monsters in search of his best friend Agnes."

Directed by Brandon Ivie, the show will play March 16 through April 13, with opening night set for March 26 at the West End Theatre at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. If anything, we're sure plenty of guys just want to see how tight Doyle's shirt will be in the show. (And if boyfriend Ryan Steele shows up in the audience.) Check out some rehearsal photos here.
