American Horror Story Season 4 Going to the Carnival
During a Nerdist Writers Panel podcast, writer Douglas Petrie revealed that American Horror Story season will be carnival themed. "Yes. It doesn't have a title, but that's the idea," Petrie said. "Very roughly, that's the idea." That's not to be confused with HBO's Carnivale.
While not officially confirmed by FX, Petrie confirmed what has been rumored on the internet for months when "leaked" posters for season 4 were dubbed "Circus."
However, the information does fall in line with Ryan Murphy's previous tease that the show will take place in the 1950s. All together, it sounds like the perfect setting for a creep-tastic season.
Fans of the show can (and should) listen to Petrie talk about themes and ideas behind all four seasons of AHS over at Nerdist.
