The year was 2011. Britney Spears was in the midst of another comeback. With her first album in three years, the singer was ready to top the charts again. While 2008's Circus reminded us of the Britney we first fell in love with, it was Femme Fatale that introduced fans to new forward-thinking, EDM-focused singer. Spears enlisted the likes of Dr. Luke, Kesha, Bonnie McKee and will.i.am to liven up her sound and own the dance floor.
"I think Femme Fatale is my most upbeat and mature album yet," Spears said in Out's April 2011 issue. A lot has changed since then. The singer embodied a new persona (Britney Jean), quit touring in favor of a Las Vegas residency and has managed to stay in the limelight for all the right reasons.
