Stephen Spinella won two consecutive Tony and Drama Desk Awards for the original Broadway productions of Tony Kushner's Angels in America plays. That marked his Broadway debut, but he's been busy ever since--with Spring Awakening, A View From The Bridge, Electra, Our Town, and others--but his return Broadway this season in Eric Coble's new play The Velocity of Autumn is one not to miss this spring.

He plays Estelle Parsons' estranged gay son who returns after 20 years and becomes the family's unlikely moderator in this powder keg dramatic comedy. Spinella recently spoke about his time sparring with Estelle Parsons, saying, "It's the kind of a roller coaster ride that you don't get very often."
One thing he doesn't mention or explain? That ponytail!
