Frank Ocean Slam Dunks in New Converse Song with Diplo, The Clash
Frank Ocean is back. Sort of. The singer, who was battling it out with Chipotle, got fans chatting when video director Nabil Instagrammed a photo of him in the studio. But the real excitement is over the new single, "Hero," which has him teaming up producer Diplo and two members of The Clash, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon.
While the combo may sound bizarre, the music is fantastic. The singer sounds flawless on his second new, non-album track. (The other being his duet with Bey on "Superpower.")
Additionally, "Hero" follows a number of stellar records produced for the Converse shoe brand, including songs by N.E.R.D., Santigold, Julian Casablancas, and now, Ocean.
While not a second album, we'll take it. At least for now.
