The award-winning psychological play, Equus, may not sound like the most obvious inspiration for a fashion spread in Out magazine. But in June of 2007, model Chad White starred in a reinterpretation of the story about a boy named Alan, who becomes sexually attracted to horses. While the shoot doesn't go down the dark road of the play, it certainly played on the sexual appeal of White's scultped body, which was draped across a horse for the magazine's Hot List issue.
Still a budding model, 2007 turned out to be a breakout year thanks to a number of sexy campaigns, including Dolce & Gabbana and Diesel shot by Terry Richardson. In that same year, White landed in the pages of GQ alongside Adriana Lima, V Man, and on the cover of Out magazine.
Since then, White has appeared everywhere -- walking the runways of Milan, appearing in Details and on the cover of Attitude, and becoming the face of Hugo Boss Green. He even modeled with cats in a recent issue of Out. (God bless him for appearing alongside so many animals.)
Ahead of the model's 29th birthday -- July 11 to be exact -- we decided to revisit his first shoot with the magazine, which never appeared online until now. Check out the rest of the exclusive photo shoot from the 2007 issue below.
