Boy George Reflects on His Culture Club Days on Late Night
With Culture Club reformed after 15 years and a new album and U.S. tour on the way, flamboyant frontman Boy George (and 2012 Out100 Cover Honoree) ventured over to Late Night and talked with Seth Meyers about getting the seminal new wave group back together.
"We got together about two years ago, sort of tried to do a bit of writing and I kind of worked quite quickly that I needed to get my mojo back," said George. "I needed to get myself back in order."
The "Karma Chameleon" singer was charming throughout the interview and discussed the band's "volatile moments" (read: attempted murder), Bowie's influence on the group, and the difficulties of getting their first record deal.
