Hunger Games Reveal: New Mockingjay Rebel Posters
Following up a July teaser trailer that depicted series heroine Katniss Everdeen joining the districts in their rebellion against the capitol, Lionsgate has revealed a new batch of posters for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
Featuring a number of rebel fighters ranging from Liam Hemsworth's Gale to Natalie Dormer's Cressida, the posters take on a completely different aesthetic from the previously released Dictrict 13 posters, which showed the likes of Effie and President Alma Coin donned in drab gray outfits and leaning against a minimalistic gray brick wall. While the previous images had a tone of defeat and poverty, the new posters carry a feeling of righteous anger. Characters are decked out in military gear, wielding guns and crossbows and wearing black body armor, while the background's Mockingjay logo is positioned in such a way as to make Gale and crew appear to have angel wings. Expressions are primarily hardline stares, but Eden Henson and Wes Chatham bring intimidating scowls to the table as Pollux and Castor, respectively. Of particular note is Mahershala Ali's Boggs, whose inquisitive look gives a striking contrast to his imposingly armed figure. Check them out below.
Liam Hemsworth as Gale
Natalie Dormer as Cressida
Evan Ross as Messalla
Mahershala Ali as Boggs
Wes Chatham as Castor
Elden Henson as Pollux
Mockingjay is set to come to theaters on November 21st, later this year.
