Colman Domingo has worked with some of the most acclaimed and prolific directors in the industry. The actor recently starred in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln and Lee Daniels' The Butler. Oh, and three Spike Lee films before that: Miracle at St. Anna, Passing Strange, and Red Hook Summer.
This January, Domingo will venture further into the historical-epic in Selma, a movie about Martin Luther King Jr., Lyndon B. Johnson, and the Civil Rights marches. Domingo will play Reverend Ralph Abernathy who was both a leader of the Civil Rights Movement and a close friend and associate of Dr. King.
We had the pleasure of drinking mimosas and chatting with Domingo bed-side about his new role.
"This is my third year coming around award season with a really high profile film about our civil rights, our human rights," he said. "Somehow I'm being called to be in them and be a part of them. I think that's a blessing and such an honor."

"She was trying to get a pulse, an energy exchange from me."
Well, we're just a little jealous now...
