1. Ryan Murphy confirmed that he and his husband David Miller's second son, Ford, was born via surrogate on Friday. "It was an amazing birth," Murphy said. "37 weeks and a day and he was a chunker, 7 lbs 13 oz. David and I were there and pulled him out and cut the cord and cried and it was pretty amazing. And now look at me, I'm crying again." [E!]
2. Crossdressing comedian Eddie Izzard is teaming up with NBC to adapt Timothy Hallinan's comedic crime novels based around high-end thief and private dick Junior Bender for the small screen. Though he is not set to star in the project, he will be executive producing alongside Royal Pains' Jessica Ball, who is also on board to pen the script. [THR]
3. Twin Peaks was picked up by Showtime for a third season 25 years after the show was originally cancelled by ABC. The new season of the cult 1990s TV phenomenon is set to be nine episodes long and will begin airing in 2016.
