Purple never looked so good. Laverne Cox and the cast of her Logo documentary, Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word, joined GLAAD in lighting the Empire State Building purple in honor of Spirit Day. The documentary, which will premiere on MTV and Logo tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET/PT, illuminates the lives of seven transgender teens across the US. It's part of MTV's "Look Different" campaign, with its goal to stop biases based on race, gender, or sexual orientation by providing education and information.
Spirit Day encourages people to "go purple" online or wear purple to take a stand against bullying and support LGBT youth. For a full list of this year's Spirit Day participants, check out GLAAD's Spirit Day page.
