It's been about a year since Baby Alpaca (a.k.a. Chris Kittrell and Zach McMillan) have put out any new music, but it turns out it was worth the wait. "Roller Coaster," the first cut off their upcoming EP on JD Samson's label, Atlas Chair, is probably the best R&B track we've heard in a while.
Mirrored ceilings, irrepressible lust: the song's got everything. The lyrics in are unabashedly sexual and along with the smooth, luscious beats and Kittrell's velvety voice, they make for a track steeping in unbridled eroticism.
"You know the feeling you get after amazing sex? All dizzy, weak in the knees, about to pass out. It reminds me of being at a theme park. Carnival games, swing chairs, wooden roller coasters. High on cotton candy and Icees. One turn behind getting onto the ride and screaming hands in the air until it's over." explains Chris Kittrell to Noisey.
Over or under that he's an excellent lay?
