Lance Bass, 35, and Michael Turchin, 27, were married in Los Angeles on December 20. The pair, who met in Palm Springs four years ago at a birthday party in Palm Springs, were wed at the Park Plaza Hotel.
"We needed a space that really reflected our dream wedding," Bass told People about the venue. "We wanted it to have a royal vibe, and everything about the place is over the top and gorgeous. It was exactly the backdrop we needed."
The officiants (two!) were friends of the couple, actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and performed the ceremony for 300 guests. Wedding planner Sharon Sacks (responsible for the understated Kim Kardashian-Kanye West nuptials) organized a ceremony that included a canopy, a nod to Turchin's Jewish heritage--but also somewhat less conventionally, four supermodels "flower girls." The couple was preceded down the aisle by their three dogs. The New York Times noted that traditions from Bass's southern Baptist upbringing were also included (the dogs and supermodels are not particularly traditional). Each groom was given away by his mother.
At an 'N Sync reunion performance in October 2013, Bass proposed to Turchin, an artist. Of Bass's former band mates, only Justin Timberlake, who is on tour, was absent. J. C. Chasez sang Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" for the couple's first dance, Joey Fatone was the ring bearer, and Chris Kirkpatrick was there.
Photos are in short supply until the E! network's televises the event on Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding, scheduled to air Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. ET. Bass noted, "D.J. Tracy Young did the music and she has only done one other wedding. That was for Madonna!"
MAGICAL NIGHT! We laughed, we cried, we married. #LanceLovesMichael
