Heterosexuals have discovered that they, too, can enjoy their butts.
In our slowly but steadily progressing world, the line that defines what's considered taboo is frequently redrawn. One of the latest topics brought out of the shadows is ass play. From rim jobs, to anilingus, to anal sex, straight people are beginning to realize that it isn't the disregard for this orifice that proves their heterosexuality -- and they haven't stopped looking back since (sorry).
It was late in 2013 when one of the first mentions of a *gasp* rim job trickled into, where else, Playboy. Afterward, places likeCosmopolitan, and New York Magazine started talking about it too. Now that it's spent it's time in magazines, the natural course of things would take it to television.
While there have been plenty of butts on premium cable as of late (thank you, Game of Thrones, Looking, and the rest), there hasn't been too much done with them between consenting straight people since Sex and the City. Hopefully the scene in the new season of Girls marks an advance in the portrayal of different types of sexual expression -- as long as the shows that decide to go into more detail also responsibly talk about the preparation involved. No one deserves to learn about the evils of a$$ play the hard way.
