Get excited! Kicking off Pride Month in style, Out Magazine and its sister publication The Advocate joined forces with GLAAD and Google Pixel to celebrate the #SeenOnPixel program with PRIDE: A Night with Google Pixel + GLAAD + Out + The Advocate!
Held on Thursday, June 9 at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, the event brought together the diverse minds and personalities of the LGBTQ+ community in a sleek and tasteful rooftop bar setting, decorated in the current Google floral theme. Notable guests included; Nick Adams, Christine Chiu, Shea Diamond, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Raquel Willis, Mollee Gray, Jeka Jane, Kent Boyd, Wils, Robinick Fernandez, Howin Wong, Jacob Tobia, Vincint, Billie Lee, Greg Mathis Jr., Elliott Cooper, Bunny Barbie, Kodye Elyse, Anna Shumate, Kelsi Davies, Daniel Franzese, Gregory Zarian, and more.
In a surprise teaser reveal, the upcoming Zoom Out July/August magazine cover recreation images were announced ahead of their digital and print releases. The Jari Jones cover image was a featured centerpiece superimposed on the LA night sky, where she graciously recreated a 2010 Kylie Minogue cover bringing her own spin and representation through her activism and production to the original cover.
The Zoom Out cover recreations were shot using Google Pixel 6 to highlight the real tone technology that captures skin the way it exists in real life. Out is zooming out on their original covers to provide insight into the intersectionality and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.
