Presented on the anniversary of 9/11, Riccardo Tisci's first runway show on the New York Fashion Week schedule was solemn and artful. Over 1,000 guests in attendance watched the two light beams symbolizing the fallen Twin Towers in the distance as performance artists, choreographed by Marina Abramovic, moved slowly around the audience, perched above the runway at a pier in TriBeCa. The collection (88 looks in total) included women's and men's ready-to-wear pieces, as well as couture numbers, and pieces from the Givenchy Jeans line. Models walked to harrowing mourning songs from six different religions. Watch the full runway show at Givenchy.com
