It's the season of giving, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson is donating all proceeds from Tie the Knot to LGBTQ charities until Christmas. Each week, 100 percent of the proceeds from Ferguson's line of bowties will go to a different organization.
"Now, more than ever, LGBTQ rights organizations need our support to continue the important and, in many cases, life-saving work they do every day," Ferguson said. "Tie The Knot's #GiveOUT campaign is an easy way for everyone--members of the LGBTQ community, allies, friends, and family members - to make an impact and proudly wear a symbol of support for our vulnerable community."
Created in 2012 to advocate for marriage equality, Tie the Knot has raised over $500,000. Although marriage equality is now a reality, there are still 32 states in which LGBTQ Americans are denied federal protections. The current campaign was launched in response to the recent election.
