Aficionados of good style and rock music were in for a treat at John Varvatos' Rock Is Dead? interactive experience, unveiled to the public on Wednesday during New York Men's Fashion Week.
The ambitious concept mixed sound, video, and live models in animal masks to present the latest fall-winter 2016 collection in a different way, as envisioned by the designer.
Heartthrob Darren Criss and Golden Globe winner Christian Slater where among the first people to see the space, which was open to the general audience the following day; a way to make fashion more accessible to everyone.
"It's time to do something different -- to cause disruption," the designer said. "People need to change their lives, their clothing... to stop committing to someone else's uniform and lifestyle. With so much evolution around us, we need to create our own sense of being. Be rebellious. Be authentic. Walk to your own beat."
