French icon Jean Paul Gaultier has created many legendary stage costumes for the likes of Madonna, Beyonce, and Kylie Minogue, but he had yet to come up with a full wardrobe for a cabaret revue. Now, JPG cross it off his bucket list: The designer released the first sketches of what could be his greatest show ever.

Gaultier has designed 500 costumes to oufit a cast of more than 100 performers in The One Grand Show, opening in September 2016 at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, in Berlin. The drawings and stage production renderings reveal signature Gaultier looks, from genderfuck leather to Breton stripes, with trompe l'oeil tattooing, glitter, and feather galore.

The current production, Wyld: Out of This World has been reviewed as "the most lavish show in Europe"and written in the New York Times as a "Top 10 Berlin must-see." The Friedrichstadt-Palast said an investment of more than $10 million was put into the upcoming One Grand Show, so expect even more praise -- and acrobatics.

The synopsis? "It represents the living diversity of the cultural metropolis," the Palast announced, and that's the least you could say about any Jean Paul Gaultier show. If you happen to travel in Europe, or are lucky enough to call yourself a Berliner, pre-book your tickets (prices start at EUR20/$21.75) at Palast.Berlin.
