It takes a bug's life to save the planet.
Pocket square, $39.50
J. Crew is bringing awareness to our declining environment. As part of its annual "Save the Bees" campaign, the brand has teamed up with British illustrator Marcel George to create art for a special collection.
"To get up close to some bees in real life, I went to The Horniman museum and Gardens in London, where they have a working beehive," the artist told WWD. "I discovered there was a great deal of subtlety and complexity in the coloration of bees, which you would miss from looking at photographic references alone."
The summer-ready line is for kids from 7 to 77, and features dainty watercolor illustrations of a variety of bee species. Our favorite piece: the Italian silk pocket square. And half of the proceeds from the collection's sales will go to the British conservation charity, Buglife.
Everyone should be buzzing about it!
The "Save the Bees" collection is available online and in J. Crew stores on April 22
