The movie reimagines the classic Japanese folk tale, Momotaro. In the original story, Momotaro is born from a giant peach to a childless couple. He grows up to become a hero who leaves home to fight demons on a faraway island, and he makes animal friends who become his allies.
In Kenzo's reimagined version of the story, Momotaro becomes Momoko, a young girl who is joined by an all-female biker gang "with delinquent tendencies," according to Kenzo. Who knew a classic tale could be this badass?
