Thom Browne's playful, stunning collection ended Paris Men's Fashion Week with a feathery bang. The eccentric designer included models who wore shark headpieces and seagull costumes in his beachy, "Surf's Up"-inspired line of short suits, trompe l'oeil overalls, and swim onesies.
Browne never fails to poke fun at high fashion, and this show was no exception. His lighthearted presentation included sand, surfboards, and a palm tree, while still displaying an array of chic, retail-ready looks. His choice of color -- bright yellow, deep blues, pale pinks -- breathes in some fresh air into the palette of the season.
And his use of texture (mainly with feathers, furs, and patent leather) grounded his goofy show in perfectly executed elegance. It was Browne at his best: streamlined, unexpected, and always full of spirit.
