The e-brand Oliver Cabell wants to put an end to overpriced markups on luxury goods
After making a trip to a factory in Asia, a group of graduate students discovered that the women who worked there only made $7 a day sewing designer bags that would sell up to 12 times the production cost. Upon their return, they founded Oliver Cabell, an e-commerce brand launched in 2015 whose mission is to craft quality bags without the insane mark-up. Named after 1960s characters played by Oliver Reed and Steve McQueen (Oliver Twist and Martin Cabell, respectively), Oliver Cabell just launched the Kennedy Weekender duffle bag, a new must-have in three colors: black, blue, and beige (pictured). In addition to looking sharp, it will keep your conscience clear.
$285, available at OliverCabell.com
