When you think of Dickies, do you visualize your grandpa telling tales of harder times? Or perhaps you picture your dad working under a car, or doing whatever dads do? Maybe, like us, you picture Brooklyn's skinhead queers feeling their ultimate Americana fantasy?
Whatever the case, Dickies have been a western staple since 1922, first created by two Texas friends who would eventually revolutionize the American work force. And now, the brand is experiencing an unlikely Renaissance.
Opening Ceremony unveiled this week an exclusive collaboration with the iconic workwear brand, updating classic Dickies silhouettes with smart contemporary tweaks. From checkerboard work shorts to pin-striped overalls, the mini-collection works within the realm of Dickies' legacy, while introducing fresh patterns and cuts--more modern, less manual labor.

"Reimagined time and time again by countless subcultures, Dickies is the uniform not only for the working man, but also for visionairies of all stripes," Opening Ceremony said of the new capsule. "OC's latest collaboration reworks this workwear brand for a new generation."
