"Here is a collection of photos that I've recently taken with an infrared camera, capturing light that cannot be seen with the naked eye," Charles told OUT. "Infrared light penetrates deeper into skin, making it semi-translucent. Veins can be more readily seen, literally going beyond superficial beauty and skin color. I'm a big science nerd and I love the idea of making science sexy. With camera phones getting better and better, it has become more difficult to create images which show people things which they haven't seen before."
