Los Angeles brand LOCKWOOD51 prides itself on purveying unapologetically queer streetwear, having previously collaborated with radical LGBTQ pillars, including Homo Riot, Tom of Finland Foundation and Jeremy Lucido. Now, they've teamed up with Leighton Brown and Matthew Riemer, the creators behind Instagram's @LGBT_History page, to produce a mesh muscle tank printed with images of historic queer activists.
Featuring tributes to Keith Haring and Act Up, among others, LOCKWOOD51's new "Proud" tank honors "heroes that have broken down barriers and crashed through societal walls over the past 100 years." In keeping the mission of those pictured, 20 percent of all profits will be donated directly to the Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ people ages 13 to 24.
